Canadian, British born sculptor initially worked as an artist and designer in the film industry. He currently lives and works in Vancouver, focusing exclusively on the creation of sculptures.
According to Jamie Salmon, the spectrum of the materials used for his work is quite large, but the main ones are: resin, silicone, hair and fabrics. The artist tries not just to create sculptures, but also to tell the story of the man. That’s why Jamie deliberately makes sculptures larger than the original. This way is easier for the audience not only to perceive the sculpture as a realistic copy of a person, but to feel something more.
