Public Figures as “Star Wars” Action Figures
Artist Mike Leavitt decided to "document the pulse of our times" by creating sculptures based on the "Star Wars" characters, but by replacing the famous actors with the equally famous people from public and political life, politicians, businessmen, show business stars and various celebrities. This nonrandom selection saga - according to the author, it is the best model for creating a "pop culture satirical mash-ups".
