Instagram continues to pave the way for innovative artists like graphic designer Javier Pérez, who regularly adds to his playful series entitled  Instagram Experiments . Using a variety of everyday objects combined with simple line drawings, the Ecuador-based artist constructs whimsical scenes in all shapes and sizes.

Urban Jewelry: Lace Street Art by NeSpoon

Warsaw-based artist  NeSpoon  uses ornate lace patterns in her unique brand of street art that translates into ceramics, stencils, paintings, and crocheted webbing installed in public spaces. NeSpoon refers to her art as “public jewelry,” specifically as an act of beautification by turning abandoned and unadorned spaces into something aesthetically pleasing. Everyday Objects Transformed into Whimsical Characters

If everywhere you look there are faces staring back, you’re not alone.  For the past 10 years French artist  Gilbert Legrand  has been finding the hidden characters in everyday objects and revealing them with paint. His whimsical vision sees all sorts of household objects become things they were not: a coat hanger becomes a mouse sporting shoes; a paintbrush transforms into a teen with an attitude (and a wicked hairdo); and the blades of some scissors get amorous.
